“Windows RT is ARM only”

I didn’t say ‘Windows RT’, I said winRT, which is the new api used to build Metro style applications, on both ARM and x86/64.
In this API, I see the first steps towards finally replacing win32. Win32 api’s are not available on Windows RT,? which is why we can’t build desktop applications. WinRT needs to be extended for that to happen – and I have no doubt that it will. Once that happens, win32 is history.

Er, no. ARM tablets will be quite cheap. That’s the whole reason Microsoft decided to develop? their OS to run on ARM chips. Most likely the ARM tablets will be in the price range of current cheap Android tablets, while the more powerful Intel chips will be around the mid-high range fruitPad.
